With Shah Rukh Khan All Set To Do The Rakesh Sharma Biopic, Here's What He Had To Say To Aamir Khan
Shah Rukh Khan may have not had a great end to 2018 with 'Zero', but he is undeterred. Turns out that the superstar will be next doing the Rakesh Sharma biopic, titled as 'Saare Jahan Se Accha'. The movie is based on the life of the Indian astronaut Rakesh Sharma and the movie is expected to go on floors anytime now. At this time, SRK has taken some time out to give a message to Aamir Khan.
In an interview, he thanked Aamir and said that it was him who called him and told him about him. Hence, this project wouldn't have been possible without him. Interestingly, the 'Thugs of Hindostan' actor was the first choice for the role, but he could not go ahead with it due to other commitments.
The film's producer, Ronnie Screwvala has also confirmed that King Khan is on board with the project and that the film will go on floors early this year. He also disclosed that the script has been with them for a long time and that an official announcement should be made soon. As for the female lead, Bhumi Pednekar's name has cropped up for this biopic.
Coming back to SRK, the actor seems unfazed by the fact that 'Zero' failed to work at the box office. In spite of mixed reviews and so much criticism, the actor has clarified that he will not stop experimenting. He even revealed how his friends and family ask him to do a safe film but he refuses to do so.
Meanwhile, the box office reports for 'Zero' have been concerning. The movie has collected around Rs 90 crore in India in its run of almost two weeks, according to a trade report, and with the New Year, any hopes of the movie springing a turnaround are over. It is possible that the Aanand L Rai directorial might not even touch the three-figure mark at the box office.
