Golden Globes: Earnest Lada Gaga Accepts Best Original Song Award for 'A Star Is Born'

Bradley Cooper's 'A Star Is Born' took home the same award as the 1976 iteration did at the 34th Golden Globes.
"Shallow" from A Star Is Born, with music and lyrics by Lady Gaga, Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando and Andrew Wyatt, won the award for best song in a motion picture on Sunday at the Golden Globes.
Ronson and Gaga accepted the award, thanking, among others, director Bradley Cooper. "You took a heartfelt honest tune and you gave it emotional resonance that we could've only dreamed of," Ronson said. "Seriously, the way you weaved the lyrics into the film and the narrative of your beautiful heartbreaking film is why we're standing up here tonight, I believe."
The 1976 version of A Star Is Born with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson took home the same award at the 34th Golden Globe Awards, along with four others. The iteration starring Judy Garland was less successful, only receiving two nominations and subsequent wins.
This year, Cooper's A Star Is Born is nominated for four Golden Globes in addition to best song: best drama, best actress in a drama for Gaga, and both best actor and director in a drama for Cooper.
"Shallow" beat out "All The Stars" from Black Panther (music and lyrics by Kendrick Lamar, Anthony Tiffith, Mark Spears, Solana Rowe and Al Shuckburgh, "Girl in the Movies" from 'Dumplin (music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and Linda Perry), "Revelation" from Boy Erased (music by Troye Sivan and Jónsi, lyrics by Jon Thor Birgisson, Troye Sivan and Brett McLaughlin), and "Requiem for a Private War," from A Private War (music and lyrics by Annie Lennox).
Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg hosted the 76th annual Golden Globe Awards, which took place at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles on Jan. 6.
