Live: 'The Americans' Wins Best TV Drama at 76th Golden Globes
The annual Hollywood awards season has kicked off with The 2019 Golden Globe Awards, organised by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HPFA) at Beverly Hills, California.
Killing Eve star Sandra Oh and Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Andy Samberg are co-hosting the ceremony on 6 January in Los Angeles.
Christian Bale's Vice, a biographical comedy-drama on former US Vice President Dick Cheney's career, has bagged a maximum of six nominations for the 76th annual Golden Globe Awards, with The Favourite, Green Book and A Star Is Born coming close on the heels with five nominations each.
On the television front, The Assassination of Gianni Versace - a limited series about the fashion designer's brutal murder - has picked up four nominations. Barry, The Kominsky Method and Homecoming scored three nominations, as did Sharp Objects, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and A Very English Scandal.

Veteran TV host Carol Burnett has won the inaugural Carol Burnett Award to recognize a lifetime achievement in television. "I am really gobsmacked by this," she said after the announcement. "Does this mean I get to accept it every year?"
Patricia Arquette has won the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television for the mini-series Escape at Dannemora.
British actor Ben Whishaw, known for playing Q in the James Bond series, has won Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for the mini-series A Very English Scandal.
"He's a true queer hero and icon, and Norman (Scott) this is for you," Whishaw said of the real life character he played on the show.
The long-running, highly acclaimed Cold War-era spy drama has won Best TV Series for it’s final season.
Richard Madden known for playing Robb Stark in Game of Thrones has won the Best Actor award for his performance in the hit BBC political drama Bodyguard.
The mind-bending superhero flick Spider-man: Into The Spider-Verse has won Best Motion Picture - Animated.
Veteran actor Michael Douglas has won the first award of the night for his performance as the lead in the Netflix Original series The Kominsky Method.
