Martin Lewis regularly advises fans on some of the best deals to pursue on the high street - as well as sharing top ways to save money.
Having founded MoneySavingExpert.com, the 46-year-old now often parts his wisdom on the ITV show This Morning.
Born in Manchester in 1972, Martin went on to study government and law at the London School of Economics - and in 1997, he began a postgraduate course in broadcast journalism.
The broadcaster was given an honorary doctorate in business administration from the University of Chester in 2013.
During his career, the broadcaster worked in the City of London, for a financial communications consultancy firm, Brunswick Group.
Martin’s TV career also saw him work as an editor of the BBC Radio 4’s Today programme business slot.
But, his Money Saving Expert persona stemmed from his time on the 24-hour satellite TV channel Simply Money.
The TV regular has also worked as a columnist in the past - which includes contributing to the “Deal of the Week” column in the Sunday Express.
And, as well as frequently appearing on the small screen in a number of hit chat shows, the star also co-presents The Martin Lewis Money Show alongside Angellica Bell.

Throughout his lifetime, Martin has amassed himself a huge fortune.
Earlier this year, the TV star’s staggering earnings meant he found himself on The Sunday Times Rich List.
According to the publication, he could have a net worth of £125 million - with a national ranking of 912.
Martin first set up MoneySavingExpert.com (MSE) for just £100 in February 2003.
However, the success of the website soon saw him rack up a huge fortune - with the entrepreneur selling the website to the Moneysupermarket.com group for up to £87 million in September 2012.
According to BBC reports, the deal, which saw him remain as editor-in-chief, saw Martin receive £35 million as well as shares in MoneySupermarket.com worth £25 million.
What’s more, it was reported that he could receive a further £27 million in case and shares after three years.
At the time, Martin explained he planned to donate a whopping amount of the sale to charity.
“In keeping with the site's aims, when the deal completes, £10 million will go to charity, including £1 million to Citizens Advice, which is facing terrible funding cuts,” he said.
